London Univ. 1877, from Marlborough Coll., a student of the Inner Temple 22 May, 1875 (then aged 21), called to the bar 15 May, 1878 (eldest son of Hugh Hamilton, of Ayr); born 26 June, 1854; married 18 March, 1880, Adelaide Eliza Margaret, only dau. of James Baron Northcott, of Brook House, Alderley Edge, Cheshire.
