Coll., London, 1853, and a member of Convocation, also a member of the South-eastern circuit, examiner in common law, etc., London Univ. since 1882, a student of the Middle Temple 19 April, 1858, studentship Nov., 1858, called to the bar 6 June, 1860, Q.C. 19 March, 1874, called to the bench 30 Jan., 1877 (eldest son of Frederick Blomfield Philbrick, of Colchester, attorney-at-law); born ⁠, 1835; married 1st, 27 Aug., 1863, Charlotte, dau. of James Beadel, Esq., of Broomfield Lodge, Essex; she died ⁠, 1868; he married 2ndly, 23 Aug., 1870, Minnie Caroline, dau. of late James Cockburn, Esq., 17th lancers; she died ⁠, 1879.
