State of Connecticut,

At a General Assembly of the State of Connecticut, (illegible text) of New Haven by Adjournment (illegible text) first Thursday of Januaary Anno Domini 1789, and continued by several further Adjournments until the twenty seventh Day of January aforesaid ———

Resolved by this Assembly that His Excellency Samuel Huntington Esquire, Honorable Oliver Wolcott, Richard Law Matthew Griswold, Erastus Wolcott Esquires, Thaddeus Burr Esqr and General Jedidiah Huntington be and they are hereby appointed Electors for this State, agreeably to the first Section of the second Article of the Constitution of the United States of America; lately adopted by this State, And that said Electors meet at the City of Hartford on the first Wednesday of February next, then and there to proceed according to the provisions of said Section, for the Election of President, and Vice President, under said Constitution. ——————
