U. held its Nineteenth Annual Congress at the American Museum of Natnral History, Nov. tt-x4, t9ot. The attendance was good at all the meetings and the program was varied and interesting. The following officers were elected: President, C. Hart Merriam; Vice-Presidents, Charles B. Cory, C. F. Batch- elder; Secretary, John H. Sage; Treasurer, Win. Dutcher; Me?nbers of the Council, Frank M. Chapman, Ruthven Deane, Jonathan Dwight Jr., A. K. Fisher, E. W. Nelson, Thomas G. Roberts, Witmet Stone. The amendments to the by-laws recommend- ed at the Eighteenth Congress were adopted with the exception of the increase in the num- ber of Fellows. The old class of Active Mem- bers became Fellows, restricted in number to fifty. A class known as Members, the number of which is restricted to seventy-five, was created, intermediate between Associates and Fellows. The following Fellows were elected: Outram Bangs, F. E. L.
