Sir,

Agreeable to the Resolves made in Convention at Philadelphia on the 17^th of September, 1878 you have inclosed herein the certified List of the persons voted for President and Vice President of the United States of America by the Electors of the Delaware State one of which I was, and at the request of my collegues Mess^rs. Banning and Mitchell I have undertaken to transmit that List in the Cover addressed to the President of the Senate of the United States under Seal which you will please to deliver in proper Season and you will oblidge yo^r most obedient & very humble serv^t.
