stalled 3rd Sept. 1629, on the resignation of the last prebendary. In 1660 ho was made bishop of the see.

Robert Hitchcock, S.T.B., installed 8th Dec. 1660, vice Sanderson resigned. Ho died in 1673.

Robert Chetne, A.M., collated 22nd dune and in- stalled on the -3rd of the same month 1672, vice Hitchcock resigned.

Thomas Cheyne, A.M., collated 1 6th Feb. 1 680-81, and installed 4th June 1681, vice his father, Robert Cheyne, resigned.

David Tkimn'i'.ll, A.M., collated 23rd Nov. and in- stalled 16th Dec. 1716, vico Cheyne deceased. He quitted it for Castor.

White Kennet, S.T.P., installed 25th July 1713. In 1718 he was made bishop of Peterborough, but kept this stall in commendam till 1720.

Samuel Dunstbr, S.T.P., collated 6th June 1720.

Richard Arnold, collated the 22nd and installed 31st Aug. 1754.

Charles Weston, collated 25th Sept. and installed 20th Oct. 1756.

Frederick Apthorp, A.M., collated 20th and installed 25th Sept. 1802, vice Charles Weston deceased.

GRETTON. Roger de Fulden held this stall in 1264. John Fleming quitted it in 1292 for Leighton-Buzzard

prebend. Robert Swillixgtox succeeded in 1292. Boxiface de Saluciis obtained this stall by papal

provision in 1298. Albertus de Lavanxia died possessed of it in 1303. Robert de Holden held it in 1324. Robertde Wyvill held it in 1330, when he was made

bishop of Salisbury. Glido de Chaume occurs in 1332.
