Thomas Godwin succeeded in 1574. In 1 5 8 4 ho was made bishop of Bath and Wells, being at that time dean of Christ Church, Oxford.

prebendary, lie was buried 21st Dee. i6;i in West- minster A.bbej . William Warr, collated 27th Dec. 1631, and died in
1641, beiiiir archdeacon of Leicester. James Duport, I5.D.. collated i:th Nov.. and installed
on the 13th of the same month 1641. He died in
1679, being dean of Peterborough, and he was buried
in that cathedral. Abraham Campion, collated 6th Aug., and installed
on the 16th of the same month 1679, v ' eo James
Duport deceased, and died in 1701, being dean of this
cathedra] : he was buried there. Samuel Harris, A.M., collated 8th Dec, and installed
on tho 13th of the same month 1701, and died in
1708. Edward Wake, A.M., collated 25th I'd). 1707-8, and
installed 29th May 1708. lie was prebendary of
Canterbury. Octaviax Reynolds, A.B., collated 17th Nov. 1732. Robert Dowbiggin, M.A., collated 2nd, and installed
4th Sept. 1773, v * ee Octavian Reynolds deceased. Edward Maltby, A.M., collated 20th Dec. 1794, and
installed 14th Feb. 1795, v ^ ce Robert Dowbiggin
deceased.
LEIGHTON ECCLESIA. Roger Blund occurs possessed of this stall in J 249. Walter de Malling died possessed of it in 1296.
