the dip is 30˚ W by N, that limb not having been entirely eroded away by the Cache a la Poudre Cache la Poudre River, but the stream is now undermining it into the bluff at one place thus, looking south ((drawing in field book)). In the bay NW of Belleview fold, where the road running W on the N side of river passes the end of the Lyons ridge, and a lot of rock is thrown out, the formation is very red and massive. Dip N 6˚, 25˚. Along the stream which flows east of the ridge, but S of the road, the light colored crossbedded Lykins sandstone follows the W side of the stream, dip 20˚. S of the river this sandstone makes a high ridge, and they have quarried the massive red Lyons sandstone.
