present reign; but subsequently, to meet the requirements of the time His Most Gracious Majesty further introduced by Royal Decree dated 25th Minacom 110, S.E. (25th March 1892) Standards for members of the Royal Family and flags for high Civil and Military official and also a Pilot flag.

Now His Most Gracious Majesty finds that the flags as introduced by former Decrees, are in some instances in excess of and in others inadequate to present requirements, and that it is expedient institute a new national flag system.

Wherefore His Majesty nom command that and Act for the establishment of a national Flag system be hereby enacted as follows:

No. 1.
THE ROYAL STANDARD.
"MAHARAJA".

The Royal Standard shall be a red flag, 5x6, in the middle of which is a dark blue field, 3x4. In the field, on a pedestal, shall stand the figure of the Royal escutcheon.

This shall be divided into three spaces. In the upper and larger space on a yellow ground, shall bethe figure of a three headed white elephant, representing Northern, Southern and Central Siam.

In the lower left hand and space of the escutcheon on a pink ground, shall be the figure of a
