I have searched the catalogues of American publications from 1890, the year in which Kipling was first represented in the States, right up to 31 October, 1901, for the issues of Mr. Kipling's works, &c., which have appeared in America. This has not been done without some little trouble ; so I trust any omissions (I have endeavoured to be absolutely accurate) will be pardoned. I add also the year of publication and the pub- lisher.
