" Glory to God on high ! "No. 338.

This is erroneously attributed to Boden in the "New Congre gational." It is by James Allen, vide "James Allen."

" Ye dying sons of men." No. 513.

This hymn appeared in the " Gospel Magazine " for February, 1777. It is given in the " New Congregational " without abridgment, and with the alteration of only one word.

" Bright source of everlasting love." No. 977.

This is No. 526 in the above collection. It was written to be sung after a charity sermon for the benefit of the sick poor. Two verses are omitted.

JOSEPH STRAPHAN.

" Blest work, the youthful mind to win." No. 97-i.

THIS is part of hymn 523 in " Rippon s Selection." The original hymn has six verses, and begins

" Blest is the man whose heart expands."

It appears in an altered form in the " New Congregational." There are three hymns by Straphan in " Kippon s Selection."

JOHN DOBELL.

17571840. " Now is the accepted time." No. 495.

THIS simple but useful hymn, given without name in the " New Congregational," is No. 360 in John Dobell s Collection, where his own name is put to it, and it is given with an ad ditional verse. The full title of that collection is "A New
