Effex Kent' Surr' ou en la TEM, Our Lord the King is informed by the 6 R. 2. c. 10, faid Commons, how in the Statute made the. Sixth Year of King Richard the Second, late ICing 1 of England, it was ordained and accorded, That every Foreign and Alien, being of the Amity of our Lord the King, and of the Realm, coming within the City of London, and other Cities, Boroughs, and Towns within the faid Realm of England, as well within Franchifes- as without, with Fifh, and other Victuals whatfoevcr, there abiding and returning, ' fhould be from thenceforth under the Safeguard and

fpecial Protection of our Lord the King, and that it
fhould be lawful to them, and to every of them, that
they might cut Fifh and Victuals aforcfaid by Pieces,
and to tail and retail them in Part, and in whole, or
in Grofs, as they fhall think belt-, to fell and make
their Profit, without Impeachment or Contradiction
