Sum of two Shillings for every Tun (reckoning the Tun to confift of twenty hundred Weight, and every Hundred to confift of one hundred and twelve Pounds Weight of y^iw^a/'o/.i"/' and after that Rate for any greater or leiler Quantity ; and for all Coals fo imported from any Part beyond the Sea, being moft ufually fold by the Chalder, or by any other Meafure whatfoever reducible to the Chslder, the Sum of three Shillings for every Chalder, reckoning each Chalder to confiil of thirty-fix Bufliels Winchejlcr Meafure as aforefaid, and after that Rate for a greater or lefler Quantity of fuch Coals fo imported, or brought in from any Foreign Parts ; the faid Duties for Foreign Coals imported, or brougl)t in r.s aforefaid, to be paid by the refpecFtive Importer or Importers thereof: And for all Sorts of Coals On Coals car- from time to time fliipped, or water-born in order to be fliipped, or laid on board any Ship or Vefiel to ried Coaftwife, be carried by Sea, and which fhall be carried by Sea, in any Ship or VefTel from any Port or Place within the faid Kingdom of Great Britain, and which at any Time or Times, within or during the fame Term, fliall be imported, brought or landed in any other Port or Place within the faid Kingdom of Great Britain^ being moll ufually fold by the Chalder, or by any other Meafure whatfoever reducible to the Chalder, the Sum of two Shillings for every Chalder, to be reckoned as aforefaid, and after that Rate for a greater or leiler Quantity ; and for all Sorts of Coals from time to time fo fhipped, or water-born in order to be fhipped, and ' carried by Sea from any Port or Place of the Kingdom of Great Britain, and which at any Time or Times during the fame Term fhall be imported, brought or landed in any other Port or Place of the fame (in cafe they are fuch as are mofl ufually fold by Weight) the Sum of fixteen Pence for every Tun, and ac- cording to that Proportion for more or lefs, the faid feveral Duties for Coals fo fliipped, or water-born to be fhipped and carried by Sea as aforefaid, from time to time to be paid at the refpeftive Ports and Places of Importation, or landing of fuch Coals, and to be charged on the refpefbive Owner and Owners, Mafler or other Perfons having the Charge of every fuch Ship or VefTel, or of the Coals fo carried, imported, or brought in the fame : And for all Culm whatfoever, which at any Time during the fame Term of thirty- Duty on Culm. two Years, fhall be water-born in order to be fhipped within the faid Kingdom of Great Britain, or brought into the fame, the Sum of four Pence, and eight tenth Parts of a Penny, for every fuch Chalder as aforefaid, and after that Rate to be paid at the refpedive Ports and Places of Importation or landing of fuch Culm, and to be charged on the refpeftive Owner and Owners, or Mafter or Mafters, or other Per- fons having the Charge of the Ship or VefTel, or of the Culm fo carried, imported or brought in the fame: And for all Cynders made of Pit-coal, which at any Time or Times during the fame Term of DatyonCyndeis. thirty-two Years fhall be fliipped, or water-born in order to be fliipped within the faid Kingdom ai Great Britain, or brought into the fame, the Sum of two Shillings for every Such Chalder as aforefaid, and af- ter that Rate for a greater or lefler Quantity, to be paid at the refpedtive Ports and Places of Importation or landing fuch Cynders, and to be charged upon the refpeftive Owner and Owners, Mafter and Maireis, or other Perfons having the Charge of the Ship or VefTel in which the faid Cynders fhall be carried, im- ported or brought. IX. And it is hereby enaded by the Authority aforefaid. That the faid feveral Duties by this Ad im- Thefe Duties on pofed, within and throughout the faid Kingdom of Great Britain, for and upon fuch Coals, Cul:n and Coals, &c. to be Cynders which fiiall be water-born, and carried Coaflwife, or from one Part oi Great Britain to any l"^^'*^' y '|;^, other Part of the fame as aforefaid, during all the Tim.e and Term by this Ad granted therein, and all * 'nna:,c.o. Arrearages thereof, fhall and may be raifed, levied, colleded, and recovered in fuch or the like Manner and Form, and fubjed to fuch Allowances and Repayments, and under fuch Penalties, Forfeitures, Difabilities, and according to fuch Rules and Methods, and Diredions, as by the Ad of Parliament made in the fourth Year of her Majefly's Reign, intituled. An Aii for mitinuing an additional Suhfidy of Tonnage ^^^.^^ ^_ g_ a7id Poundage, and certain Duties upon Coals, Culm and Cynders ; a?td additional Duties of Excife ; a7id for fet- tling and ejjahlijhing a Fund therehy, and by other Ways and Means, for Payment of Annuities, to be fold for raifing a further Supply to her Majejiy for the Service of the Tear one thoufand feven hundred andfx, and other TJfes therein inentioned, or by any other Law or Statute whatfoever were prefcribed or appointed for the raifing, levying, fecuring, colleding, or recovering the Duties upon the like Coals, Culm, and Cynders, which had Continuance until the thirtieth Day of &ji?wii^fr one thoufand feven hundred and ten; and that all and every the Powers, Authorities, Rules, Diredions, Penalties, Forfeitures, Difabilities, Claufes, Matters and Things, which were contained in the faid Ad of the fourth Year of her Rdajcfty's Reign, or were or are jn any other Ads or Statutes thereby referred unto, for the managing, raifing, levying, fe- curing, colleding, recovering, or accounting for the faid Duties, upon Coals, Culm and Cynders, which were granted or continued until the faid thirtieth Day of ^^/ito/zZ-t-r one thoufand feven hundred and tea as aforefaid, fhall be and are, by Force and Virtue of this prefent Ad, revived, and fliall be in full Force, and be duly obferved, pradifed, and put in Execution, in and for the managing, raifing, levying, fe- VoL.
