"What Liquors XL And for avoiding Difputes and Controverfies which may arife touching Liquors preparing for Vine- ftali be deemed ^ar, be it enafted and declared. That all ftale Beer, Returns of Beer or Ale, Cyder, Verjuice or any other Vinegar, &c. Ltqijors proper to be made into Vinegar, which at any Time after the faid tenth Day of May one thou- fand fix hundred ninety-nine, fhall be found in the Cuftody or PoflefTion of any common Vinegar Maker (except fuch Beer, Ale, and other Liquors as are to be drank in his Family, and which fliall be kept fepa- rate and apart for that Purpofe) fhall be deemed and taken to be Vinegar or Liquors preparing for Vine- gar within the Meaning of this Aft. to'officer &<:? ^^^^ °^ Excife for the Place or Divifion where fuch Maker fhall inhabit, to the Intent that fuch Officer may be prefent, to fee and take an Account of the fame, unlefs at fuch Times as herein after are men- tioned; that is to fay, From the nine and twentieth Day of September to the five and twentieth Day of March yearly, between the Hours of feven in the Morning and five in the Evening, and from the faid five and twentieth Day of March to the nine and twentieth Day of September yearly, between the Hours Penalty, of five in the Morning and feven in the Evening; upon Pain that every Maker doing contrary thereunto, fliall forfeit for every fuch Offence the Sum of fifty Pounds.
