134- C. 8. Anno tertio Georgii Regis. A. D. 1716. Annuities one any Fraud, Negligence or Delay; and that all the Monies to be advanced as aforefaid, for fuch Annuities, •Capital Stock, {hall be one capital or joint Stock on which the faid Annuity fhall be attending; and that all Perfons and Corporations, in proportion to the faid Monies by them respectively advanced, fhall have a Share in fuch ■Shares affigna- Stock, and in the proportional Annuity attending the fame; and that all fuch Shares fhall be affignable, hie, &c. transferable and devifeable in the fame Manner as is prescribed by Act of Parliament made in the firft I. c°'zi'. m ' Year of his ^Majefty's Reign touching the Annuities after the Rate of five Pounds per Centum per Annum NoStamp-du- therein mentioned; and that no Stamp-duties whatfoever fhall be chargeable on fuch Transfers; and that ■ties for Tranf- the faid Governor and Company of the Bank of E-igland, (notwithflanding the Redemption of all or iferj,:&c„ any of their own Funds or Annuities) fhall continue a Corporation, to all Intents and Purpofes relating only to the receiving, paying or accounting for the faid Annuities not exceeding the faid Rate of five Pounds per Centum per Annum laft mentioned, till the fame fhall be redeemed by Parliament, in fuch Pro- portions, and according to fuch AcT; or Acts as fhall be made or paffed concerning the fame; and that no Fees or Gratuity fhall or may be demanded or taken of any of his Majefty's Subjects for paying the faid Annuities lair, mentioned, or for any fuch Transfers; nevertheless the Commiflioners of the Treafury, or the High-treafurer for the Time being, fhall have Power to allow out of the Monies to be impretleJ, as aforefaid, fuch Salaries and Allowances as they fhall think reafonable, to the faid Cafhier and Accountant- general for the Time being respectively, for their Pains and Charges relating to the Payments and Ac- counts of the faid Annuities fo to be purchafed after a Rate not exceeding five Pounds per Centum per An- num, as aforefaid, and the Charges of palling fuch Accounts, and being difcharged of the fame.
