And be it further enacted by the Authority aforefaid, That if any Officer of the Cuftoms, Exctfc N or Inland Duties, fhall deal or trade in Tea, Coffee, or in Brandy, or other excifeable Liquors, fuch I ficer Ihall not only lofe his faid Office or Employment, but alio forfeit and lofc the Sum of fifty Pounds to V"', ' : ' l " any Perfon who fhall inform or fue for the fame, and be likewife rendred incapable of having any Place or** Imployment in any Branch of his Majefty's Revenue for the future, which I ift Penalties and Forfeit: fhall and may be lued for, profecuted and recovered by Action of Debt, Bill, Plaint or Information, in any of his Majefty's Courts of Record at Weftminfter, or in hi 3 Majefty's Court of Exchequer at Edinburgh in Scotland reflectively. VIII. And be it declared and enacted by the Authority aforefaid, That if any foreign Goods fha!I be Onm proband! feized for Nonpayment of Duties, or any other Caufe of Forfeiture, and any Difpute fhall arife, whether for foreieniToo* the Cufloms, Excife or Inland Duties have been paid for the fame, or the fame have been lawfully import- ">Iieon iLc cd, or legally compounded for or condemned, or concerning the Place from whence fuch Goods were 0wncr> brought, then and in fuch Cafes the Proof thereof fhall lie on the Owner or Claimer of fuch Goods, and not on the Officer, who fhall fcize or flop fuch Goods ; any Thing in an Act of Parliament made in the fixth Year of his Majefty's Reign, intituled, An Ail for preventing Frauds and Abufes in the publick Revc- 6 Geo. i.e. ~r. nucs of Excife, Cufloms, Stamp-Duties, P ojl -Office and Hnifc- Money, to the contrary notwithftanding. IX. X. XII. And be it further enacted by the Authority aforefaid, That the faid Commiffioners of the Cuftoms Produce of the fhall caufe the Produce of fuch Sales, after paying the Reward to the Seizor, and the Charges of Condem- Sales after nation and Sales, to be paid into the Receipt of his Majefty's Exchequer, in Lieu of his Majefty's Share; Charges, **• any Law,.
