  • I. "ft /TOST Gracious Sovereign ;_ Whereas in and by an Act of this Seffion of Parliament, intituled, For the A pplii-

' Exd 1 num ' Fund c and ten ilooufand Pounds for the Service of the Publick, by Sale, of Annuities; after the Rate of fix Pounds per Suv. 2. c, a 1 Centum per Annum, redeemable by Parliament, it is, amongft other Things enacted, That for raifing. a

  • Sum not exceeding nine hundred and ten thoufand Pounds, as Part of the neceffary Supply for the Ser-
  • vice of your Majefty's Navy and Forces, and other publick Occafions, a certain yearly Sum. of fift'y-

' four thoufand fix hundred Pounds, from the Feaft of St. Michael the Archangel in the Year of our Lard

  • one thoufand feven hundred and fifteen, forever, fhall, by quarterly Payments at the four mod ufual

' Feafts of the Year, by equal Portions, without any Deduction or Abatement whatsoever, be feparated- ;

  • and fet apart at the Receipt of the Exchequer, out of the Monies of a General or Aggregate Fund ari-

' fing and to arife by feveral Duties and Revenues in and by the faid Act appropriated for that and other 4 Purpofes therein particularly expreffed ; and that the faid yearly Sum of fifty-four thoufand fix hundred ' Pounds fhall from Time to Time be iffued and applied to anfwer and fatisfy fuch perpetual Annuities ' as fhould be purchafed, after the Rate of fix Pounds per Centum per Annum, fubject neverthslefs to be ' redeemed according to the true Intent and Meaning of fuch Ait or Acts of Parliament as fhould be 4 paffed in that Behalf: And whereas it is by the aforefaid Act provided, That from and after the com- - 4 plete paying off and difcharging all the Principal and Intereft which fliall be due upon all the Exchequer- - 4 bills therein mentioned, and cancelling the fame, and full Payment of all Arrearages (if any fhall be then ' due) for and upon the Allowances, yearly Sums, and Deficiencies therein expreffed ; then and not till ' then, the faid General or Aggregate Fund by that Act eftablifhed for the feveral Purp'ofes aforefaid, and 4 all the Subfidies, Duties, and Revenues contained therein, fhall be underftood to be redeemed by.Par- 4 liament, other than and except certain particular Subfidies and Duties therein defcribed, that is to fay y ' the Subfidies and Duties called the two Thirds of a Subfidy of Tonnage and Poundage,, upon Goods ' and Merchandizes imported, and certain Duties upon Coffee, Cocoa-nuts, Chocolate, Cocoa-pafte, ' Tea, Nutmegs, Cinnamon, Cloves, Mace, Pictures, and Muflins, and certain increafed Duties upon 4 Coffee, Cocoa-nuts, Chocolate, Cocoa-pafte, Tea, Nutmegs, Cinnamon, Cloves,. Mace, . and ' Pictures, and certain further Duties upon all white Callicoes, China Ware, and Drugs : And it is by - ' the fame Act alfo enacted, That all the faid particular Subfidies and Duties fo excepted, fhall be conti-
