A. D. 1731. Anno quarto Georgii II. C. o. 53 Ufcs, Intents and Purpofes herein exprefled, fubject neverthelefs to fuch Reftriclions as are herein after prefcribed ; that is to fay, XLII1. It is hereby enacted and declared, That out of all or any the Aids or Supplies aforefaid, there 73 d 2,c f ^ Naval fhall and may be iflued and applied any Sum or Sums of Money not exceeding feven hundred thirty-two service?, thoufand thirty-four Pounds four Shillings and four Pence, for or towards the naval Services herein after more particularly exprefled ; that is to fay, for or towards defraying the Charge of the Ordinary of his Majefty's Navy, and for Half pay to Sea Officers,.' and for or towards Victuals, Wages, Wear and Tear of the Navy, and the Victualling thereof performed and to be performed, and for or towards extraor- dinary Repairs of his Majefty's Navy performed and to be performed, and for or towards other Services of the Navy performed and to be performed. XLIV. And it is hereby further enafted, That out of all or any the Aids or Supplies as aforefaid, »°>ceol._ for there fhall and may be iflued and applied any Sum or Sums of Money not exceeding ten thoufand pj£d, nwlc o! " Pounds, upon Account, for and towards the Support of the Royal Hofpital at Greenwich, for the better Maintenance of the Seamen of the faid Hofpital, worn out and become decrepit in the Service of their Country. XLV. And it is hereby alfo enacted, That out of all or any the Aids or Supplies as aforefaid, there 86,0231. 10s. fhall and maybe iflued and applied any Sum or Sums of Money, not exceeding eighty-fix thoufand office of Ord- nine hundred and twenty-three Pounds ten Shillings and ten Pence, for or towards defraying the Charge nance for Land of the Office of Ordnance for Land Service performed and to be performed, and for defraying the ex- Service, traordinary Expence of the Office of Ordnance for Land Service not provided for by Parliament. XLVI. And it is hereby likewife enacted, That out of all or any the Aids or Supplies provided as afore- i>*i4>2ool. 10s. faid, there fhall or may be iflued and applied any Sum or Sums of Money, not exceeding one million £^nd Force's and) two hundred and fourteen thoufand eight hundred and nine Pounds ten Shillings and nine Pence, for or other Services, towards maintaining his Majefty's Land Forces, and o:hcr Services herein after more particularly ex- prefled ; that is to fay, any Sum of Money not exceeding fix hundred and fifty-one thoufand four hun- dred and eighty-four Pounds feventeen Shillings one Penny Half-penny, for defraying the Charge of feventeen thoufand feven hundred and nine Men, including Commiflion and Non-CommifTion Officers and Invalids, for Guards, Garifons and fix independent Companies for the Service of the Highlands, and other his Majefty's Land Forces in Great Britain, Guernjcy and Jerfey, and other Services relating to? the Forces for the Year one thoufand feven hundred and thirty-one ; and any Sum or Sums of Money, not exceeding one hundred fixty-nine thoufand eight hundred and thirty-five Pounds eight Shillings and one Penny Half-penny, for maintaining his Majefty's Forces and Garifons in the Plantations, Minorca and Gibraltar, and for Provifions for the Garifons at Annapolis Royal, Placentia and Gibraltar, for the Year one thoufand feven hundred and thirty-one ; and any Sum or Sums of Money, not exceeding thirty-two thoufand four hundred and eighty-three Pounds two Shillings and fix Pence, upon Account for Out-Penfioners of Cheljea Hofpital, for the Year one thoufand feven hundred and thirty-one, including the Sum of feven thoufand Pounds, towards making good the Deficiencies of the Surplus of the Deduc- tions of Poundage, and Day's Pay of the Forces, and of the annual Sums granted in Parliament, on Ac- ' count of the Expences of Cnclfca Hofpital, as eftimated on the twenty-fourth Day of December one thou- fand feven hundred and twenty-nine; and any Sum or Sums of Money, not exceeding thirty thoufand nine hundred and twenty-fix Pounds five Shillings and eleven Pence, for defraying feveral extraordinary Expences and Services incurred, and not provided for by Parliament ; and any Sum or Sums of Money,, hot exceeding fixty-one thoufand one hundred and fifty-eight Pounds fifteen Shillings and ten Pence, upon Account of Half-pay to the reduced Officers of his Majefty's Land Forces and Marines, for the Service of the Year one thoufand feven hundred and thirty-one; fubject neverthelefs to fuch Rules to- be obferved in the Application of the faid Half-pay, as are herein after prefcribed concerning the fame ;. and the Sum of two hundred and forty-one thoufand two hundred and fifty-nine Pounds one Shilling and three Pence, for defraying the Expence of twelve thoufand Hejjians, taken into his Majefty's Pay for the Service of the Year one thoufand feven hundred and thirty-one ; and any Sum or Sums of Money, not exceeding twenty-five thoufand Pounds, for one Year's Subfidy to the Duke of Brunfwiek Lutienburgh JVolfenbuttell, purfuant to a Treaty dated the twenty-fifth Day of November one thoufand feven hundred and twenty-feven ; and any Sum or Sums of Money, not exceeding two thoufand fix hundred and fixty-two Pounds, for paying off" Penfions to the Widows of fuch reduced Officers of his Majefty's Land Forces and Marines, as died upon the Eftablifhment of Half-pay in Great Britain (and who were married to them before the twenty-fifth Day of December one thoufand feven hundred and fif- teen) for the Year one thoufand feven hundred and thirty-one ; which faid Sum cf two thoufand fix hun- dred and fixty-two Pounds fhall be iflued to fuch Perfon or Perfons as his Majefty fhall, by Warrant or Warrants under his Royal Sign Manual, direct or appoint to receive the fame, to be by him or them, paid over to fuch Widows of half-pay Officers or their AfTigns, according to fuch Eftablilhments, Lifts or other Directions, and with and fubject: to fuch Conditions, Qualifications, Deductions or other Al- lowances for the fame, as his Majefty by fuch or the like Warrant or Warrants fhall be gracioufly pleated, from Time to Time, to direct or appoint. XLVII. And it is hereby alfo enacted, That out of all or any the Aids or Supplies provided as afore- supply for "Dc- faid, there fhall and may be iflued and applied any Sum or Sums of Money, not exceeding one hundred fiaencies of ior- thirty-four thoufand three hundred and twelve Pounds fourteen Shillings and fix Pence, towards- ma- mer GranK * king good the Deficiency of the Grants for the Year one thoufand feven hundred and tnirty ; and any Sum or Sums of Money, not exceeding thirty-nine thoufand three hundred and fifty-three Pounds four Shillings and eleven Pence, for making good the Deficiency of the Fund commonly called The General Fund, for raifing feven hundred twenty-'four thoufand eight hundred forty-nine Pounds fix Shillings and
