An Act for continuing the Aft made in the eighth Year of the Reign of her late Ma- jefty Queen Anne, to regulate the Price and Affize of Bread; and for continuing, ex- plaining and amending the Act made in the fecond Year of the Reign of his prefent Majefty, for the better Regulation of Attornies and Solicitors. ' "ST J HE RE AS the Laws herein after mentioned (which have by Experience been found ufeful ' W and beneficial) are near expiring;' May it therefore pleafe your moft Excellent Majefty, that it may be enacted, and be it enacted by the King's moft Excellent Majefty, by and with the Advice and Ccnfent of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and Commons, in this prefent Parliament affem- bled, and by the Authority of the fame. That an Act made in the eighth Year of the Reign of her late Majefty Queen Anne, intituled, An Act to regulate the Afiize of Bread, which was to be in Force for three Years, and from thence to the End of the then next Seffion of Parliament, together with See father 31 Geo. 1. c. 29 32 Ceo. 2. e. lS. extended to Scotland. And whereas feveral Doubts and Difficulties have arifen touching the Powers of the Magi- ' urates of Burghs and Corporate Towns, and of the Powers of the Juftices of the Peace in fuch ' other Towns and Divifions where no Magiftrates are, in that Part of Great Britain calkd Scotland, touching the regulating the Price and Affize of Bread ;' Be it therefore declared and enacted by the Authority aforefaid, That the faid Act of the eighth Year of the Reign of her late Majefty Queen Anne, together with the Alterations made in an Act of the firft Year of the Reign of his late Ma- jefty King George, relating to the faid Act of the eighth Year of the Reign of her faid late Majefty, does extend, and (hall be with all the Powers, Provisions, Claufes and Declarations, extended, to that Part of Great Britain called Scotland. III.
