AfTignees may aflign again Toties 4UOties, five hundred thoufand Pounds by way of Lottery as aforefaid, the Number of Tickets fubferibed for by each fuch Contributor, the principal Sums by them refpectively paid for the Purchafe of fuch Tickets, and the Annuity payable in refpect thereof, at the Rate aforefaid ; to the end the faid Auditor may be thereby fatisfied, that the faid full and entire Sum of five hundred thoufand Pounds, to be advanced as aforefaid, hath been paid to fuch Receiver or Receivers ; which Book fhall remain in the Office of the Auditor of faid Receipt of Exchequer for ever. LXVI. And it is hereby further enacted by the Authority aforefaid, That all and every the Contribu- tor or Contributors aforefaid, or fuch other Perfon or Perfons as fhall be poffefied of any fuch Certificate or Certificates, by this Act directed to be given 1 by fuch Receiver or Receivers as aforefaid, fhall before the twenty-fifth Day of December one thoufand feven hundred and forty-fix deliver or caufe to be deliver- ed, to the Auditor of the faid Receipt of Exchequer, all and every the faid Certificate and Certificates aforefaid, to be exchanged for Orders to be made out in the Manner hereafter mentioned; and fhall alio at the fame Time, name to the faid Auditor his, her or their own, or fome other Life, during which he, fhe or they, or his, her or their Affigns, fhall be intitled to receive a Dividend or Share of the yearly Fund hereafter directed to be fet apart out of the faid feveral Rates and Duties by this Act granted to his Ma- jefty as aforefaid; on Pain of forfeitting, not only the half-year's Annuity, which fhall become due and payable to fuch Contributors, or their Affigns, on the faid twenty-fifth Day of December one thoufand feven hundred and forty-fix (in refpedt of the Principal Sums by them refpectively advanced as aforefaid) but alfo all fuch fubfequent half-yearly Payments, as fhall become payable to fuch Contributors or their Affigns, until he, fhe or they fhall have produced to the Auditor of the faid Receipt their refpective Cer- tificates to be exchanged for Orders as aforefaid ; any thing herein contained to the contrary notwith- flanding. LXVII. And it is hereby further enacted by the Authority aforefaid, That the Auditor of the faid Receipt of Exchequer fhall, as foon as conveniently may be, after fuch Certificate or Certificates fhall be delivered to him, caufe fuch and fo many Order or Orders for Payment of fuch Annuities to be made out in Exchange for fuch Certificate or Certificates, as fhall be defired by the faid feveral and refpective Contributors, or their Affigns, taking Care that the Annuity or Annuities made payable by fuch refpec- tive Order or Orders, do not exceed in the whole the Annuity or Annuities fpecified and expreffed in fuch Certificate or Certificates, in Exchange for which fuch Order or Orders fhall be fo made out as aforefaid ; which faid Order or Orders fhall be made out upon Vellum or Parchment, and fhall contain the Names, Surnames, and Places of Abode, and other Additions of the refpective Contributors, or their Affigns, and of their Nominees, and alfo the Annuity payable during the Life of fuch Nominees to be appointed as aforefaid, out of the yearly Fund herein after directed to be fet apart for that Purpofe ; and all fuch Orders fhall be figned by the Commiffioners of the Treafury, or any three or more of them, or the High Treafurer for the Time being ; and after Signing thereof, the fame fhall be firm, good, valid, and effectual in Law, according to the Purport and true Meaning thereof, and of this Act, and fhall not be determinable by or upon the Deaths or Removals of any Commiffioner or Commiffioners of the Trea- fury, or High Treafurer; nor fhall they, or any of them, have Power to revoke, countermand, or make void fuch Orders fo figned as aforefaid. LXVIII. And it is hereby enacted, That in the Offices of the Auditor of the faid Receipt of Exche- quer, and Clerk of the Pells feveraily, there fhall be provided and kept one or more Book or Books, in which fhall be fairly entered the Names of all fuch Contributors, and their Nominees, during whofe Lives refpectively, the feveral Dividends of the faid yearly Fund hereafter directed to be fet apart, fhall be payable at the Times when the fame fhall be nominated as aforefaid ; to-which Books it fhall be law- ful for the refpective Contributors, their Executors, Administrators or Affigns, from time to time, to have Refort, and to infpect the fame without Fee or Reward. LXIX. And it is hereby further enacted by the Authority aforefaid, That out of the Monies arifin°- by virtue of this Act, , there fhall yearly and every Year be feparated and kept apart, at the faid Receipt of Exchequer, the Sum of forty-five thoufand Pounds ; which faid Sum of forty-five thoufand Pounds fh.all be, and is hereby declared to be, a yearly Fund for anfwering and paying the Annuities aforefaid ; and fhall yearly and every Year, be equally divided amongft the faid Contributors, their Executors, Ad- miniftrators or Affigns, during the Lives of their refpective Nominees, in Proportion to the Principal Sums by them advanced, by two equal half-yearly Payments ; that is to fay, At the Feafts of the Birth of our Lord Chrift, and the Nativity of Saint John the Baptift ; the firft Payment thereupon to be made at the Feaft of the Birth of our Lord Chrift one thoufand feven hundred and forty-fix ; and upon the Death of every fuch Norrinee, the Share of the faid Fund, which was payable during his or her Life, fhall ceafe and determine. LXX. And be it furtherenacted, That it fhall and may be lawful for any Contributor, or his, her or their Executors, Adminiftrators or Affigns, at any Time during the Life of his, her or their refpective Nominees, by proper Words of Alignment to be indorfed on his, her or their Order, to be witnefTed by two Perfons, to affign or transfer his, her or their Right, Title, Intereft and Benefit of fuch Order or Orders, to any other Perfon or Perfons ; which being notified in the Office of the Auditor of the faid Receipt of Exchequer, the Officers there fhall caufe an Entry or Memorial thereof to be made in the Boole of Regiftry for fuch Orders, without Fee or Charge ; and after fuch Entry made, fuch Affignment fhall intitle fuch Aflignee, his, her or their Executors, Adminiftrators and Affigns to the BenefTt thereof, and Payment thereon ; and fuch Aflignee may in like Manner alfign again, and fo toties quoties ; and 1 1 • afterwards
