' the refpedtive Denominations aforefaid, were made forth by and in purfurtnce of feveral Adts of Cbufc of Relief for Ex- ' Parliament in that Behalf;' Be it therefore enadted by the Authority aforefaid, That in all Cafes Ticke" B !l ls '.. fi Lottor>r where it (hall appear by Affidavit to be made before any or either of the Barons of the Exchequer for Annuity Orders,"^', the Time being (who (hall interrogate the Deponent thereupon,) to the Satisfaction of fuch Baron 'lort, burnt, or otherwife or Barons, that any fuch Exchequer Bills, or any fuch Ticket, Certificates, Receipts, Annuity Or- deftroyed. ders, or other Orders as aforefaid, before the firft Day of June one thoufand feven hundred and fixty- four, have been, are, or (hall be loft, burnt, or otherwife deftroyed, or that there be good Reafon to believe the fame have been burnt, loft, or otherwife deftroyed, it (hall and may be lawful for the re- fpedtive Officers and Perfons appointed to iflue and make forth fuch Exchequer Bills, Tickets, Cer- tificates, Receipts, Annuity Orders, or other Orders, or to pay or difcharge the fame, or to iflue any Monies due or payable thereupon, upon producing a Certificate from any or either of the faid Barons of fuch Affidavit made before him or them (which Affidavit the faid Barons, or any or either of them, is and are hereby authorized to take, and which Certificate he or they is or are hereby required to make and grant without Fee or Reward), and on Security given to the faid refpedtive Officers and Perfons, to their good Liking, to indemnify them refpedtively againft all other Perfons whatfoever for or concerning the Monies fpecified in or due upon fuch refpedtive Bill or Bills, Ticket or Tickets, Certificate or Certificates, Receipt or Receipts, Order or Orders, they the faid Perfons refpedtively fhall and are hereby required to make forth Duplicates of the faid Bills, Tickets, Certificates, Re- ceipts and Orders, at the Requeft of the refpedtive Owners, and to pay, fatisfy and difcharge the fame, and all fuch Intereft as is or fhall be due on any of them, carrying Intereft, or to make forth Stock or transferable Annuities in lieu of fuch Receipts as he or they fhould have paid, fatisfied or difcharged, or made forth on the faid original Bills, Tickets, Certificates, Receipts, Annuity Orders, or other Orders, if the fame had been produced, and fhall be allowed all fuch Payments, Sum or Sums of Money in their refpedtive Accounts ; and in all Cafes where the Signing of the Commif- fioners of his Majefty's Treafury, or the Lord High Treafurer of Great Britain for the Time being, fhall be necefiary for making the faid Duplicates, or any of them, effectual for the Purpofes afore- faid, it fhall and maybe lawful to and for the faid Commiffioners of his Majefty's Treafury, or any three or more of them, or the Lord High Treafurer for the Time being, to fign fuch Duplicates accordingly. ' ' pen, that Party Walls within the faid City and Liberty of Wefiminfler, and the Parifhes, Precindts, ' and Places comprifed within the Weekly Bills of Mortality, and within the feveral Parifhes of Saint ' Alary Le Bone and Paddington, and within the Parifhes of Chelfea and Saint Pancras, or either, of ' them, in the County of Middle/ex (except the City of London, and the Liberties thereof; and alfo, ' except Houfes on London Bridge, and on the River of Thames below Bridge), may be fo far out of ' Repair, as to render it necefiary to pull down and rebuild the fame, although neither of the adjoin- ' ing Houfes, to which fuch Party Walls belong, require to be rebuilt ; and it may happen, that ' Party Walls, within the Limits aforefaid, may be fo far defective and bad, by falling out of the ' Perpendicular, as to become unfafe for the Builder of the next adjoining Houfe to reft Timbers
