During the period 1867-97 the total gohl coinage amounted to 235, 814, 000 florins ; the silver coinage to 130,300,000 florins ; and the fractional coinage (small silver, copper, nickel, and bronze) to 24,564,000 florins.

On December 31, 1897, there were in Hungary 307 joint-stock and private banks with a total nominal capital of 185,642,000 florins ; 666 savings-banks with nominal capital of 77,541,000 florins ; and 1,158 co-operative (alliance) banks. The liabilities and assets of all the banks were as follows (in thousands of florins) : —
