  1. குலமும் ஒன்று குறியும் ஒன்று.
    Birth and external sign are at variance.

  2. குலம் புகுந்தும் குறை தீரவில்லை.
    Though he has entered another tribe he is still in want.

  3. குலம் குலத்தோடே வெள்ளம் ஆற்றோடே.
    Tribe goes with tribe, the flood with the river.

  4. குலம் குலத்தோடே வெள்ளாடு தன்னோடே.
    A tribe associates with its own tribe, and goats follow their own kind.

  5. குலம் குப்பையிலே பணம் பந்தியிலே.
    High birth lies on the dunghill, while wealth is at the festive board.

  6. குலவித்தை கற்றுப் பாதி கல்லாமற் பாதி.
    Arts appropriate to a family are partly intuitive and partly acquired.

  7. குலைக்கிற நாய் கடிக்க அறியாது.
    A barking dog does not bite.

  8. குலைக்கிற நாய்க்கு எலும்பைப் போட்டாற்போல.
    Like throwing a bone to a barking dog.

  9. குலைக்கிற நாய் வேட்டை பிடிக்குமா?
    Will a barking dog avail in hunting?

  10. குலைக்கிற நாயின் வாயிலே கோலைக் கொடுத்தால் ஊர் எங்கும் கொண்டோடிக் குலைக்கும்.
    If a staff be put into the mouth of a noisy dog, it will carry it through the village barking.

  11. குலையாத நாய் குதிங்காலைக் கடிக்கும்.
    A silent dog will bite the heels.

  12. குழந்தை பட்டினியும் கோயில் பட்டினியும் இல்லை.
    Infants and temple servants do not suffer from hunger.
