பழமொழி.
  1. கொண்டவன் சீறினால் கண்டவனுக்கு எல்லாம் இளக்காரம்.
    If despised by her husband, all will slight her.

  2. கொண்டவனுடைய பலத்தைக் கண்டால் குப்பைமேடு ஏறிச்சண்டை செய்வாள்.
    If she finds out the strength of her husband, she will get on the rubbish heap and fight.

  3. கொண்டார் முனியிற் கண்டார் முனிவர்.
    If husbands treat their wives angrily, others will do so too.

  4. கொண்டு குலம் பேசுகிறதா?
    Do you speak lightly of a family into which you have chosen to marry?

  5. கொண்டைக்குப் பூ சூடிச் சண்டைக்கு நிற்கிறது.
    To stand up to quarrel with a chaplet of flowers on the tresses.

    Are flowers for the tresses, or for the beard?
