TREATY WITH THE OMAHAS. MARCH 16, 1854. 1047 Now therefore, be it known, that I, FRANKLIN PIERCE, President of the United States of America, do, in pursuance of the advice and consent of the Senate, as expressed in their resoiution of the seventeenth day of April, one thousand eight hundred and fifty-four, accept, ratify, and conirm the said treaty as amended. In testimony whereof, I have caused the seal of the United States to be hereunto aiiixcd, having signed the same with my hand. Done at the city of Washington, this twenty—ii1•st day of June, [L. s.] in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty- four, and of the independence of the United States the seventy-eighth.
