For grants to the very low-income elderly for essential repairs to dwellings pursuant to section 504 of the Housing Act of 1949, as amended, $12,500,000. RURAL HOUSING FOR DOMESTIC FARM LABOR
For financial assistance to eligible nonprofit organizations for housing for domestic farm labor, pursuant to section 516 of the Housing Act of 1949, as amended (42 U.S.C. 1486), $9,513,000. MUTUAL A N D SELF-HELP HOUSING
For grants and contracts pursuant to section 523(b)(1)(A) of the Housing Act of 1949 (42 U.S.C. 1490c), $8,000,000. .OffiJ'
RURAL COMMUNITY FIRE PROTECTION GRANTS
For grants pursuant to section 7 of the Cooperative Forestry Assistance Act of 1978 (Public Law 95-313), $3,091,000 to fund up to 50 per centum of the cost of organizing, training, and equipping rural volunteer fire departments. COMPENSATION FOR CONSTRUCTION DEFECTS
For compensation for construction defects as authorized by section 509(c) of the Housing Act of 1949, as amended, $713,000. RURAL HOUSING PRESERVATION GRANTS
For grants for rural housing preservation as authorized by section 552 of the Housing and Urban-Rural Recovery Act of 1983 (Public Law 98-181), $19,140,000. SALARIES A N D EXPENSES (INCLUDING TRANSFERS OF F U N D S)
For necessary expenses of the Farmers Home Administration, not otherwise provided for, in administering the programs authorized by the Consolidated Farm and Rural Development Act (7 U.S.C. 1921-1995), as amended; title V of the Housing Act of 1949, as amended (42 U.S.C. 1471-1490h); the Rural Rehabilitation Corporation Trust Liquidation Act, approved May 3, 1950 (40 U.S.C. 440-444), for administering the loan program authorized by title III A of the Economic Opportunity Act of 1964 (Public Law 88-452 approved August 20, 1964), as amended, and such other programs which Farmers Home Administration has the responsibility for administering, $386,867,000, together with not more than $3,000,000 of the charges collected in connection with the insurance of loans as authorized by section 309(e) of the Consolidated Farm and Rural Development Act, as amended, and section 517(i) of the Housing Act
