The project for flood control, Louisiana State Penitentiary Levee, Fish and fishing. Mississippi River, Louisiana: Report of the Chief of Engineers, dated Wildlife. December 10, 1982, at a total cost of $23,400,000, with an estimated first Federal cost of $17,600,000 and an estimated first non-Federal cost of $5,800,000. No acquisition of land for or actual construction of the project may be commenced until appropriate non-Federal interests shall agree to undertake measures to minimize the loss of fish and wildlife habitat lands in the project area.
