Public Law 100-160 100th Congress An Act To designate the new United States courthouse in Birmingham, Alabama, as the "Hugo L. Black United States Courthouse".

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the United States courthouse located at 5th Avenue and 17th Street North in Birmingham, Alabama, shall be known and designated as the "Hugo L. Black United States Courthouse". Each reference to such courthouse in a law, map, regulation, document, record, or other paper of the United States shall be deemed to be a reference to the "Hugo L. Black United States Courthouse". Approved November 10, 1987.
