Public Law 100-642 100th Congress An Act To amend the Act of June 6, 1900, to increase the number of trustees of the Frederick Douglass Memorial and Historical Association.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, SECTION 1. BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE FREDERICK DOUGLASS MEMORIAL AND HISTORICAL ASSOCIATION.

(a) NUMBER.—Section 4 of the Act of June 6, 1900 (ch. 806; 31 Stat. 662), is amended by striking out "not less than five members nor more than nine" and inserting in lieu thereof "not less than 9 members nor more than 19 members". Qa) EFFECTIVE DATE.—The amendrnent made by subsection (a) shall take effect upon the election of additional members of the board of trustees of the Frederick Douglass Memorial and Historical Association (pursuant to the amendment made by subsection (a)) at a regular or special meeting of the board called for the purpose of such an election. Approved November 9, 1988.
