112 STAT. 3586 PUBLIC LAW 105-392—NOV. 13, 1998 SEC. 302. DEMONSTRATION PROJECTS REGARDING ALZHEIMER'S DIS- EASE. (a) IN GENERAL.— Section 398(a) of the Public Health Service Act (42 U.S.C. 280c-3(a)) is amended— (1) in the matter preceding paragraph (1), by striking "not less than 5, and not more than 15,"; (2) in paragraph (2)— (A) by inserting after "disorders" the following: "who are living in single family homes or in congregate settings"; and (B) by striking "and" at the end; (3) by redesignating paragraph (3) as paragraph (4); and (4) by inserting after paragraph (2) the following: "(3) to improve the access of such individuals to homebased or community-based long-term care services (subject to the services being provided by entities that were providing such services in the State involved as of October 1, 1995), particularly such individuals who are members of racial or ethnic minority groups, who have limited proficiency in speaking the English language, or who live in rural areas; and". (b) DURATION. — Section 398A of the Public Health Service Act (42 U.S.C. 280C-4) is amended— (1) in the heading for the section, by striking "LIMITA- TION" and all that follows and inserting "REQUIREMENT OF MATCHING FUNDS"; (2) by striking subsection (a); (3) by redesignating subsections (b) and (c) as subsections (a) and (b), respectively; and (4) in subsection (a) (as so redesignated), in each of paragraphs (1)(C) and (2)(C), by striking "third year" and inserting "third or subsequent year". (c) AUTHORIZATION OF APPROPRIATIONS.— Section 398B(e) of the Public Health Service Act (42 U.S.C. 280c-5(e)) is amended— (1) by striking "and such sums" and inserting "such sums"; and (2) by inserting before the period the following: ", $8,000,000 for fiscal year 1998, and such sums as may be necessary for each of the fiscal years 1999 through 2002". SEC. 303. PROJECT GRANTS FOR IMMUNIZATION SERVICES. Section 317(j) of the Public Health Service Act (42 U.S.C. 247b(j)) is amended— (1) in paragraph (1), by striking "individuals against vaccine-preventable diseases" and all that follows through the first period and inserting the following: "children, adolescents, and adults against vaccine-preventable diseases, there are authorized to be appropriated such sums as may be necessary for each of the fiscal years 1998 through 2002."; and (2) in paragraph (2), by striking "1990" and inserting "1997".
