Section 1231(a) of the Food Security Act of 1985 (16 U.S.C. 3831(a)) is amended— (1) by stri k ing ‘‘2 0 0 7 calendar year’’ and inserting ‘‘2012 fiscal year’’; and (2) by inserting before the period the following: ‘‘and to address issues raised by State, regional, and national conserva- tion initiatives’’; and SEC. 2102. LAND ELIGI B LE FOR ENROLLMENT IN CONSERVATION RESERVE. Section 1231(b) of the Food Security Act of 1985 (16 U.S.C. 3831(b)) is amended— (1) in paragraph (1)(B)— (A) by striking ‘‘Farm Security and R ural I nvestment Act of 2002’’ and inserting ‘‘Food, Conservation, and Energy Act of 2008’’; and (B) by striking the period at the end and inserting a semicolon; and (2) in paragraph ( 4 )— (A) in subparagraph (C), by striking ‘‘; or’’ and inserting a semicolon; (B) in subparagraph (D), by striking ‘‘and’’ at the end and inserting ‘‘or’’; and (C) in subparagraph (E), by inserting ‘‘or’’ after the semicolon at the end. SEC. 2103. MAXIM U M ENROLLMENT OF ACREAGE IN CONSERVATION RESERVE. Section 1231(d) of the Food Security Act of 1985 (16 U.S.C. 3831(d)) is amended— (1) by striking ‘‘2007 calendar years’’ and inserting ‘‘2009 fiscal years’’; (2) by striking ‘‘( 16 U.S.C.’’ and inserting ‘‘(16 U.S.C.’’; and (3) by adding at the end the following new sentence: ‘‘During fiscal years 2010, 2011, and 2012, the Secretary may
