(a) P ART B AMENDMENTS.—Part B of title I V (20 U.S.C. 1071 et seq.) is amended— (1) in section 422A(d)(1) (20 U.S.C. 1072a(d)(1)), by striking ‘‘437, and 43 9 (q)’’ and inserting ‘‘and 437’’; (2) in section 428 (20 U.S.C. 1078)— (A) in subsection (b)(1)( G )(i), by striking ‘‘or 439(q)’’; (B) by striking subsection (h); and (C) in subsection ( j )(2)— (i) by inserting ‘‘and’’ at the end of subparagraph (C); (ii) by striking ‘‘; and’’ at the end of subparagraph (D) and inserting a period; and (iii) by striking subparagraph (E); and (3) in section 43 5 (d)(1)(G) (20 U.S.C. 1085(d)(1)(G)), by striking ‘‘428C, and 439(q),’’ and inserting ‘‘and 428C,’’. (b) F EDERAL DE P OSIT INS U RANCE ACT.—Section 18(s)(4)(C)(ii)(I) of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act (12 U.S.C. 1828(s)(4)(C)(ii)(I)) is amended by striking ‘‘as amended’’ and inserting ‘‘as such section existed on the day before the date of the repeal of such section’’. Section 441 (42 U.S.C. 2751) is amended— (1) in subsection (b), by striking ‘‘ $ 1,000,000,000 for fiscal year 1999’’ and all that follows through the period and inserting ‘‘such sums as may be necessary for fiscal year 2009 and each of the five succeeding fiscal years.’’; and (2) in subsection (c)(1), by inserting ‘‘emergency prepared- ness and response,’’ after ‘‘public safety,’’.
