Section 404(a) (42 U.S.C. 5044(a)) is amended by inserting ‘‘or other volunteers (not including participants under this Act and the N ational and Community Service Act of 1 9 90 (42 U.S.C. 12501 et seq.)),’’ after ‘‘employed workers’’ both places such term appears. SEC. 2152. APPLICATION OF FEDE R AL LA W . Section 415 (42 U.S.C. 5055) is amended— (1) in subsection (c), by inserting ‘‘(as such part was in effect on the day before the date of enactment of the Serve America Act)’’ after ‘‘part B ’’; and (2) in subsection (e), by inserting ‘‘(as such part was in effect on the day before the date of enactment of the Serve America Act)’’ after ‘‘A, B’’. SEC. 215 3 .E V AL U ATION. Section 41 6 (42 U.S.C. 5056) is amended— (1) in subsection (a), in the first sentence, by striking ‘‘(including’’ and all that follows through ‘‘ 3 years)’’; and (2) in subsection (f)(3), by striking ‘‘Committee on Education and L abor of the H ouse of R epresentatives and the Committee on Labor and Human Resources of the Senate’’ and inserting ‘‘authori z ing committees’’. SEC. 215 4 . DEFINITIONS. Section 421 (42 U.S.C. 5061) is amended— (1) in paragraph (2), by inserting ‘‘, the Commonwealth of the Northern M ariana Islands,’’ after ‘‘American Samoa’’; (2) by striking paragraph ( 7 ); (3) in paragraph (13), by striking ‘‘ V olunteer Corps’’ and inserting ‘‘Service Corps’’; (4) in paragraph (14), by striking ‘‘Volunteer Corps’’ and inserting ‘‘Service Corps’’; (5) by redesignating paragraphs ( 8 ) through (20) as para- graphs (7) through (19), respectively; (6) in paragraph (18) (as redesignated by paragraph (5)), by striking ‘‘and’’ after the semicolon at the end; 42USC50 2 7a.
