Section 236(d) of the Trade Act of 1974 (19 U.S.C. 2296(d)) is amended to read as follo w s

‘(d) E LIGIBILIT Y .—An ad v ersely affected worker may not be determined to be ineligible or dis qu alified for unem p loyment insur - ance or program benefits under this subchapter— ‘‘(1) because the worker— ‘‘(A) is enrolled in training approved under subsection (a)

‘‘( B ) left work— ‘‘(i) that was not suitable employment in order to enroll in such training; or ‘‘(ii) that the worker engaged in on a temporary basis during a break in such training or a delay in the commencement of such training; or ‘‘(C) left on-the- j ob training not later than 3 0 days after commencing such training because the training did not meet the requirements of subsection (c)(1)(B); or ‘‘(2) because of the application to any such week in training of the provisions of State law or F ederal unemployment insur- ance law relating to availability for work , active search for work, or refusal to accept work. ’ ’. SEC. 1833. J OB SEARCH AND RELOCATION ALLOWANCES. (a) JOB SEARCH ALLO W ANCE S .—Section 237 of the Trade Act of 1974 (19 U.S.C. 2297) is amended— (1) in subsection (a)(2)(C)(ii), by striking ‘‘, unless the worker received a waiver under section 231(c)’’; and (2) in subsection (b)— (A) in paragraph (1), by striking ‘‘90 percent of the cost of’’ and inserting ‘‘all’’; and (B) in paragraph (2), by striking ‘‘ $ 1,2 5 0’’ and inserting ‘‘$1,500’’. (b) RELOCATION ALLOWANCES.—Section 23 8 of the Trade Act of 1974 (19 U.S.C. 2298) is amended— (1) in subsection (a)(2)(E)(ii), by striking ‘‘, unless the worker received a waiver under section 231(c)’’; and (2) in subsection (b)— (A) in paragraph (1), by striking ‘‘90 percent of the’’ and inserting ‘‘all’’; and (B) in paragraph (2), by striking ‘‘$1,250’’ and inserting ‘‘$1,500’’.
