And whereas, the said treaty having been submitted to the Senate of R“u5°'*u°¤• the United States for its constitutional action thereon, the Senate did, on the fifth day of July one thousand eight hundred and sixty-six advise and consent to the ratification of the same, by a resolution in the words and figures following, to wit: —- IN EXECUTIVE SESSION, SENATE or THE UNITED STATES, July 5, 1866. Resolved, (two thirds of the senators present concurring,) That the Senate advise and consent to the ratification of the articles of agreement and convention made and concluded at Sprague River Valley on the twelfth day of August, in the year one thousand eight hundred arid sixty- five, by J. W. Perit Huntington, superintendent of Indian affairs in {Oregon on the part of the United States and the chiefs and headmen 0 the Woll-pah-pe tribe of Snake Indians, acting in behalf of said tribe.
