Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That section two of the act Persons anentitled "An act to amend an act relating to soldiers’ and sailors' home- ging W: l;°m°‘ gteads," approved June eighth, eighteen hundred and seventy-two, 'be i,:;e§;iii·e°€,i?v° amended so as to read as follows: That any person entitled under the med l¢S¤¤l¤¤¤ provisions of the foregoing sections to enter a homestead, who may have }£?k‘;°f$,K;“Qif_ heretofore entered under the homestead laws a quantity of land less than ference. one hundred and sixty acres, shall be permitted to enter so much land 1872»°h·338·§2· as, when added to the quantity previously entered, shall not exceed one Am’ P` 33E' hundred and sixty acres.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Treas- Paymentm ury be, and he is hereby, directed out of any money appropriated to g;';"l;‘;l‘f\‘g· R"` continue the settlement of accounts presented under the act of July vgnégd iiuri-ng twenty-seventh, eighteen hundred and sixty-one, to pay to the governor th¢1¤f5>w¤¤·f¥>r of Connecticut, or to his dulyauthorized agents, any amounts advanced f,’g'“ by the said State in payment of chaplains, extra surgeons, or assistant upon pniper surgeons employed by said State in said capacities during the late war; V°;‘§é‘f'“i\ 21 the said claims to be settled by the proper accounting officers of the v01_ `P_jy6_ treasury upon vouchers filed: Provided, That certificates of actual employment are filed with the accounts.

Sec. 2.
