CCCXL.-An Act jbr the Relief of the Heirs at Law and next of En of March 3, 1873. James B. Armstrong deceased- "`_"`t""` Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of Amer-ica in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Treas- h ¥°“YE°“**f‘?*·h° ury be, and he hereby, is directed, out of any money in the treasury not Jim, lf" ° otherwise appropriated, to pay to the heirs at law, and next of kin, of Armstrong. James B. Armstrong, late of Cameron county, Texas, in such proportion, as, under the statute of distribution, or laws of Texas, they, may be entitled to the same, the sum of thirteen thousand, three hundred and eighty-five dollars and nine cents in full for all sums due the estate of said deceased, as damages for breach of contract entered into by the said James B. Armstrong with the United States, on the fourteenth day of June A.D. eighteen hundred and fifty-Eve, for transportation of men, provisions, munitions of war, &c., upon the Rio Grande, for which sum aforesaid the court of claims reported a bill to Congress OH the eighteenth day of December A.D. eighteen hundred and sixty: Provided, That hoof that the before any such payment be made proof shall be made satisfactory to the £gj;'j_'°‘““‘“°d Secretary of the Treasury that said heirs at law and next of kin OI such thereof as shall demand their aliquot shares under and by virtue of this act, remained loyal adherents to the cause and government of the United States during the war of the rebellion: And provided further That if Paygnenttotbe proofs shall be made satisfactory to the Secretary of the Treasury, that ;§i‘§‘;;‘S°"°°"* such heirs at lavg and next of kiu are entitled to said sum, or any part ’ thereof, as aforesaid, and that the administrators of the said James B.
