Second lieutenant, mounted: fifteen hundred dollars a vear. Second lieutenant, not mounted: fourteen hundred dollars a year. Chaplain: fifteen hundred dollars a year. Aid to major-general: two hundred dollars a year, in addition to pay of his rank. Aid to lirigadier-general: one hundred and fifty dollars a year, in addition to pay of his rank.
