Dakota land-district is bounded on the south by the line between townships twenty-three and twenty-four north of the base~line; on the west by the line between_ranges twenty-eight and twenty-nine west of the sixth principal meridian; on the north by the boundary-line between Dakota Territory and the State of Nebraska; and on the east by the Missouri River. T5. Grand Island Grand Island. U1nd~district is bounded as follows: Beginning at the corner common to townships twenty and twenty-one north of the base-line, ranges six and seven east of the sixth principal meridian; thence south with said rangeline to Platte River; thence up the Platte River to the intersection of the line between ranges twenty-four and twenty-five west of the sixth principal meridian; thence south with said range-line to the second standard parallel north; thence west along said standard parallel to the intersection of the line between ranges twenty-eight and twenty-nine west; thence north with said range~line to the intersection of the line between townships twenty and twenty-one north; thence east with said township line to the place of beginning. T6. North Platte. North Platte. iVestern district embraces all that portion of the State of Nebraska which lies west of range twenty-eight west of the sixth principal meridian, and north of the line between townships eight and nine north of the baseline. T7. Lowell. Lowell. Republican Valley district is bounded as follows: Beginning on the base-line, on the range-line between ranges eight and nine west of the sixth principal meridian: thence north with said range-line to the Platte River; thence up said river to the intersection of the line between ranges twenty-four and twenty-tive west; thence south with said range·line to the second standard parallel north; thence west with said standard parallel to the western boundary of Nebraska: thence south with the western boundary of Nebraska to the intersection of the base-line; and thence east with said base-line to the place of beginning.
