Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United Pension to James States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Inte- R<>=i°h· rior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place upon the pension·roll,’ subject ·to the provisions and limitations of thepension laws, the name of James Roach, late a gunner on the ship “Plymouth," and pay him a pension from and after the passage of this act. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United Musterofwilliam States of America in Congress assembled, That William N. Williams, late N· WiUi¤m¤· a second lieutenant of the sixth regiment of Indiana volunteer infantry be mustered as such second lieutenant to date from the thirtieth day of March, eighteen hundred and sixty-two ; and that the Paymaster General of the Army pay him,.out of any money in the Treasury appropriated for the pay of the Army, the sum of one hundred and thirty-eight dgllars. — Approved, May 8, 1874. CHAP. 167.-Au act for the relief of Nathan Cole, late captain Twentythird Reg- W iment Veteran Reserve Corps. _ _ Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United C¤‘0¢l¤¢¤¤ ¤¢¤0¤¤t¤ States of America in Congress assembled, That the· proper accounting- Of N°*u"‘“ C°1°· officers of the Treasury be, and they are hereby, authorized to credit Nathan Cole, late captain and brevet major Twentythird Regiment Veteran Reserve Corps, in the settlement of his accounts with the United States, with the sum of one hundred and twenty dollars and eighty cents; the said sum having been collected by him while acting as agent of the Bureau of Refugees, Freedmen and Abandoned Lands, at Lewisville, Arkansas, in eighteen hundred and sixty-seven, and lost in transmission to the proper receiving and disbursing onicer at Little Rock.
