[N0. 2.]—Joint resolution giving the consent of Congress to the acceptance by Edward Jan. 10, 1874. ‘ Young, of a present from the Emperor of Russia. `t""“ Whereas, .His Imperial Majesty the Emperor of Russia. has been ' pleasedto confer upon each of the offrcial delegates of the United States .A“°§P'E:;‘;r°; to the International Statistical Congress at Saint Petersburg, a dia- ¥:§,,g iu0W6d_ mond ring as a souvenir of that reunion; and Whereas one of those delegates, Edward Young, Chief of the Bureau of Statistics in the Treasury Department, holds an ohice of profit and trust under the United States: Therefore · Resolved by the Senataand House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the consent of Congress be, and is hereby, granted to the said Edward Young to accept from the Emperor of Russia the present above mentioned.
