Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United Caroline M. CHAP. 272.-An act for the relief of} John F. Andrews, postmaster at Washington, —————- eorgra. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United J. F. Andrews. States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Treas- Oredit i¤ M- ury be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place to the credit °°“““ °f· of the fund for the Post—()tiice Department, out of airy money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, on money order account, the sum of one hundred and thirty dollars, and the Auditor of the Treasury for the Post-Oflice Department is directed to place the like sum to the credit of John F. Andrews, in his account as postmaster at Washington, Georgia, it being the amount of surplus money-order funds mailed by said postmaster, July twenty-fourth, eighteen hundred and seventy- seven, for deposit with the postmaster at Atlanta, Georgia; said money having been burned and destroyed with the railroad cars on the Georgia Railroad on the same day while eu route to Atlanta. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United J E W,,,,am_ States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Treas- ,,0,,:ury of the United States of America is hereby authorized and directed Payment te. to pay, out of any moneys in the United States Treasury not otherwise appropriated, to John E. Williamsori, late a member of Company B, Thirty-seventh Regiment of Wisconsin Volunteer Infantry, the full pay of a second lieutenant for and during the following period of time, namely, from the seventh day of March, anno Domini eighteen hundred and sixty-tive, to the eighth day of May, anno Domini eighteen hundred and sixty-five, inclusive, less the pay during that time of a first sergeant in the iniantry service, which he has received. CHAP. 274.-An act for the relief of John Eaton Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United John Eaton_ States of America in Congress assembled. That John Eaton, late a private Military record in Company K of the Eighteenth Regiment of Wisconsin Volunteer °°"°°*"d· Infantry, who from such service deserted June twenty-filth, eighteen hundred and sixty-tive, be fully restored, and that he stand as having been honorably discharged or mustered out of the militar·y service of the United States on the said twenty·iit'th day of June, anno Domini eighteen hundred and sixty-five, and shall be entitled to the same pay, bounties, and benefits as if he, on the said twenty-filth day of June, eighteen hundred and sixty-hve, had been lawfully discharged or mustered out of the said military service of the United States.
