CHAP. 234.-An act for the relief of Martin Clark Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United M. Clark. States of America in Congress assembled, That Martin Clark, late first Miiimw f•¤¤<>1‘¢l· lieutenant in the Twelfth New York Volunteer Cavalry, be, and he is hereby, relieved from all the penalties and effects of the general orders which dismissed him from the service of the United States; the first dismissing him from service while second lieutenant in the Twenty-first _ New York Volunteers; the second revoking his musters-in as second and first lieutenant of the Twelfth New York Volunteer Cavalry; and he is hereby restored to all the rights and privileges he would be entitled to had not such orders been issued and enforced and the Secretary of War is hereby authorized to honorably discharge the said Martin Clark the service as of June thirtieth, eighteen hundred and sixty-four. Pay and anew- The Secretary of the Treasury is hereby directed to pay to the said ¤¤•*°¤- Martin Clark, out of any moneys not otherwise appropriated, the full amount of pay and emoluments due the said Clark, and still remaining unpaid, for the time he actually served as second or first lieutenant in the Army. Nothing herein shall be construed to allow pay for any period when the said Martin Clark was not in actual service. Approved, March 3, 1879. Much 3, ]379_ CHAP. 235.-An act for the relief of James A. Hile, of Lewis County, Missouri. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatires of the United J. A. Hile. States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of \Var bo, Military record- and is hereby, authorized and directed to issue to said James A. Hilo, of Lewis County, Missouri, late a soldier of Company F, Twenty-first Regiment of Missouri Infantry Volunteers, an honorable discharge from the service, and to so amend the records and muster-rolls of the War Department as to show that he is no deserter; the said James A. Ilile to be entitled to all pay and bounty as other soldiers of his rank and arm of service, deducting the time of his absence. Approved, March 3, 1879. March 3, 1879. Choate, Erastus Foster, Milton Ladd, Clarence E. Haney, YVilliam A. Hill, Knceland F. Tilton, widow of Benjamin Stevens, late of Gilmanton, New Hampshire, who was a soldier in the war of the Revolution, seryed in Captain Samuel McConnel’s company, in General Stark’s brigat e.
