Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United Swiss of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Treas- William R. Wilury be, and he is hereby, authorized, in adjusting the accounts of William m°”= '°“°f· R. Wilmer, late collector of internal revenue for the lifth district of Mary·land, to credit him with the sum of one thousand eight hundred and thirteen dollars and fifty-four cents, that being the amount in value of internal-revenue stamps and cash of which the safe in his office was robbed by burglars on the night of the twenty-seventh of April, eighteen hundred and seventy-five, and which have not been recovered: Pro- Promo. vided, That it shall appear to the satisfaction of said Secretary that said Wilmer was robbed without any collusion or privity on his part. ` Approved, February 23, 1881. CHAP. 75.-—An act granting pensions to the widow and minor children of Michael Feb. 23, 1881. Meenan, deceased. ——·——--—-———-——— Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Interior E“““P* M°°“P·“ be, and he is hereby, directed to place upon the pension-roll, at the rate "f;',‘g0,;’sh'1` of eight dollars per month, the name ofEm1na Meenan, widow of MichaelI ` Meenan, deceased, late a corporal in Company E, Second ltegiment Delaware Volunteers, also the names of Mary Meenan, William Meenan, George Meenan, and Edward M eenan, minor children of the said Michael Meenan, deceased, at the rate of two dollars each per month, the said pensions to be payable to the parties hereinbefore named, respectively, from and after the passage of this act. _ Sec. 2 The aforesaid pensions to be continued and paid subject to the limitations and regulations as to widowhood and minority provided by existing laws in relation to the pensions of United States soldiers. Approved, February 23, 1881. CHAP. ‘76.—An act for the relief of the sureties of Henry L. Norvell. Feb. 23, 1881. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United Smile? of Amerika in Congress assembled, That Andrew Hamilton and l}·>¤¤;r fl? Nm" R· B- Castleinan, and the heirs and personal representatives of James ,§‘g,’,f€ 1° °r°ur°` Woods, William R. Elliston, and M. G. L. Claiborne, be, and the same are hereby, released and discharged from any and all liability or pay- ment of money upon a bond executed in the year eighteen hundred and sixty-tour, by Henry L. N orvell as principal, and James Woods, William R. Elliston, M. G. L. Claiborne, Andrew Hamilton, and R. B. Castleman as sureties, conditioned as required by law for the performance, by said Norvell, of the duties of the office of revenue collector for the second district of Tennessee, and also are released from the payment of any judgment that may have been rendered upon said bond.
