Bc it enacted by the Senate mul Home of Representatives of tha United _ States of America in Congress assembled, ,B¤d£¤'¤* W Sm. 1. That the Fernandiua and Jacksonville Railroad Compmy, QM and the East Georgia and Florida Railroad Company be, and are hereuu,, ,,,4 g,,,,;.,;} by, authorized, to construct a bridge over the river Saint Marys in the _ in ences o County of Camden and State of Georgia, and in the county of Nassau fw *¤d *1* and State of Florida, at the point where said railroads cross said river. Src 2 That the East Georgia and Florida Railroad Company be and ishereby, authorized to construct s bridge over the river Satelin, in the county of Camden, in the State of Georgia, at the point where said railroad crosses said river. Src. 3. That said bridges shall be so constructed either by draw span, or otherwise, so that a free and unobstructed passage may be securedtoallvesselsaudothermttercraftnavigatingsaidrivcrs. Sm. 4. That the said East Georgia and Florida Railroad Company be, and is hereby, authorized to construct iixed brid over the Little Satella river between the counties of Camden andealynn, and over _ _ Crooked River in the county of Camden in said tate of Georgia at the 1"¤• ¤•”¤•*¤°¤ points selected by said company where said railroad crosses said rivers, "°'°"°°‘ with one span, and to make said bridges of such height as they may 1»••c•, see it, Provided That the height be sumcient to permit the passage . of timher-rafts and other vessels navigating said rivers under said. That my bridge built under this act, and subject to its €¤l•¤‘¤¤¤¤¤•·¤¤¤ shall be a lawful structure, and shall be recognized and P°'*’”‘“°· known as a postroute, upon which also no higher charge shall be made for the trammissum over the same of the mails, the troops, and ' the munitions of war of the United States, or passengers or freight . c;,,,!,;,,,,,,,, passing over said bridge, than the rate per mile paid for the transmission or mus, pcrtation over the railroads or public highways leading to the said M- bridge - and it shall enjoy the rights and privileges of other postmnds in the llnited States. Draw-bridge. Sec. 6. That if any of the said bridges authorized to be constructed by this act shall be constructed as a. draw bridge, the draw-shall be opened promptly upon reasonable signal thrthe passage of boats, and said company or corporation shall maintain at its own expense from sunset Lights. till sunrise such lights or other signals on said bridge or bridges as the Light-House Board shall prescribe. No bridge shall be erected or mmntomed under the authority of this act which shall at any time sub— rm to ohm-uct stantially or materially obstruct the free navigation of said river, and ¤'*t•¤¤¤· if any bridge erected under such authority, shall in the opinion of the Secretary of War obstruct such mitigation, he is hereby uuthorized to ` cause such change or alteration of said bridge to be made, as will eifectu- . ally obvuite such obstruction, and ull such obstructions shall be removed,
