Monury be., and he is hereby, authorized and directed to pay to E. S. Montell, tell, deceased. _ executrix of the estate of James E. Montel], deceased, of Baltimore, M£‘€£°:;;:::£ Maryland, the sum of eight hundred and ilfty-nine dollars and twenty 0,- 8SM_; 0,; cents, or so much thereof as the said E. S. Montell, executrix, shall prove, to the satisfaction of the Commissioner of Internal Revenue, that the said James E. Montel! expended in the purchase of revenue stamps to stamp seventy-two cases of smoking tobacco purchased by_him trom S. Rosenfeld Sn Compan ·, of Baltimore, Maryland, upon which a tax had been previously paid under the revenue laws in force at the time of its manufacture and sale, but which was made liable to be stamped under the act of July twentieth, eighteen hundred and sixty-eight, thus requiring a double tax on the same tobacco; said payment to be made out of any money in the United States Treasury not otherwise appropriated.
