L Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of War be, Alexander P. Mn. and he is hereby, authorized and directed to cause the military record '-‘“§‘,Ig,,,,,,d ,,,,,,,,,,],1,, of Alexander P. Magaan, who enlisted as a private in Battery H, di¤¤¤¤¤z¤· Fourth United States Artillery, on the eighth day of J uQy, eighteen hundred and forty-six, aud stands charged with having deserted on the eighth day of September, eighteen hundred and forty-eight, to be corrected by removing said charge of desertion and granting an honor- 4 able discharge to said soldier, it appearing that he did not desert, but was absent with leave, sick,` and was prevented from returning on account of sickness: Provided, That no pay, bounty, or emoluments §f,°;a‘f;·m shall become due by virtue of the passage of this Act.` Received by the President, December 22, 1894. Banks. tj? Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the mmyrnmm-ixmn. Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the P°““’°"· _ pension roll the name of Mary Palmer Banks, widow of Nathaniel P. Banks, late major-general of the Army of the United States, and pay her at the rate of one hundred dollars a month. Approved, January 9, 1895. CHAP. 30.-An Act For the relief of Zimri Elliott, of \Vilsey, Kansas. January 16, 1895. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Jam, omem Treasury be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to pay the sum d,,I;f‘{}§",°,{§{,}’,fi,§°,‘Q‘{],'}{‘ of one hundred and thirty dollars, out of any moneys not otherwise appropriated, to the duly authorized administrator of Jacob Grosclose, deceased, late of Company K, Fifteenth Iowa Volunteer Infantry, who was allowed a pension on the nineteenth day of January, eighteen hundred and ninetydbur, by certificate numbered eight hundred and sixty-four thousand three hundred and seventy-seven; said one hundred and thirty dollars being the amount of pension money due the said Jacob Grosclose at the time of his death.
