To pay James Kerr, Clerk of the House of Representatives of the J¤¤¤¤¤K¤¤- Fitty-second Congress, for services in compiling and arranging for the t.,3°K{,°§,Z"?°’d` °1""°“ printer and indexing testimony used in contested—election cases, as "°1·2’·?1l·445· authorized by an Act entitled **An Act relating to contested elections," approved March second, eighteen hundred and eighty-seven, the sum of five hundred dollars, and an additional sum of nine hundred dollars to such employees as were actually engaged in the work designated by the said James Kerr, and in such proportion as he may deem just, floxilassistance rendered in the work; in all, one thousand four hundred o ars. To pay the following employees who were necessarily employed by Doorkeoim the Doorkeeper during the period from November fourth to December E'“"1°’°°°‘ third, eighteen hundred and ninety three, namely : Two session folders, at sixtynine dollars and sixty-six cents each ; ten laborers, at fifty~nine dollars and seventy-nine cents each ; one riding page, seventy-five dollars, and one page in the folding room, seventy-five dollars; in all, eight hundred and eighty-seven dollars and twenty-two cents. To pay the following employees who were necessarily employed by §°***¤f¤P*°*· the Postmaster during the period from November fourth to December mp °° m' third,eighteen hundred and ninety-three, namely: Three messengers, at one hundred and fourteen dollars and sixty cents each,and four messengers, at ninety-nine dollars and sixty-seven cents each ; in all, seven hundred and forty-two dollars and forty-eight cents. To reimburse T. O. Towles, Chief Clerk of the House of Representa- T-0·T<>w1·>¤- tives, for cab hire and other expenses incurred in the service of the House, two hundred dollars. To pay J . F. Snyder, disbursing clerk, and Thomas B. Kalbfus, assist- B·E,,3v¥¤¤r-Th¤m¤¤ ant disbursing clerk, for extra services rendered, three hundred dol-us` lars each; in all, six hundred dollars. To pay T. F. Dennis as extra compensation for services rendered as T·F·D¤¤¤i~· assistant clerk to the Committee on Invalid Pensions during the first and second sessions of the Fifty-third Congress, five hundred dollars. To pay Cliiiord Lucas for additional compensation for services Clifford Lucas as messenger under the Clerk during the first and second sessions of the Fiftythird Congress, one hundred dollars. To pay James M. Hall, for services in the document room, forty Jsmesm nun. dollars. ‘ To reimburse Spencer Greene for expenses incurred from January Srwcor Grenieiirat. eighteen hundred and ninety-three, to September thirtieth, eighteen hundred and ninety-three, for assistant laborer in caring for building rented for use of the folding room, House of Representatives, one hundred and thirty-tive dollars. To pay the following accounts, which have been audited and recommended by the Committee on Accounts, namely: To pay William J . Assman the difference between the pay of a laborer “'¤¤¤¤¤ J· AS¤¤¤==¤· and that of a messcn ger in the Hall Library at the rate of three dollars and sixty cents per day from July first, eighteen hundred and ninety- three, to J unc thirtieth, eighteen hundred and ninety-four, inclusive, five hundred and ninety-tour dollars. ‘ · To pay George L.
