SUPPORT OF SCHOOLS. Support of schools. For support of Indian day and industrial schools, and for other edu- my und industrial. cational purposes, not hereinatter provided for, including pay of architect and draftsman, to be employed in the office of the Commissioner of Indian Aifairs, one million two hundred and thirty-five thousand dollars, of which amount the Secretary of the Interior may, in his discretion, use five thousand dollars for the education of Indians in M¤¤k¤ I¤<¥i=¤¤¤· Alaska. For purchase of horses, cattle, sheep, goats, swine, and so forth, for 1·`¤¤¤ ¤¤i¤¤•1•· schools, fifteen thousand dollars. For the purpose of erecting, constructing, and completing suitable gQ§{g£fg;**:fé£:}; school buildings thr an Indian industrial school at or near Chamberlain, ami. in the State of South Dakota, which buildings are to be constructed under the direction of the Secretary of the Interior, upon plans and specifications to be approved by him, twenty-tive thousand dollars; out of which sum the Secretary of the Interior is hereby authorized to sim. purchase not exceeding one hundred and sixty acres of land near Chamberlain, at a cost of not to exceed three thousand dollars, to be immediately available, upon which land said school shall be built.
