Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United 0,}*3*; -·§Z;=;;=£¤*:¤i States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the enum. Som., PH,. Treasury is authorized and required to pay to the book agents of the “’°'“ *°- Methodist Episcopal Church South, a corporation chartered under the laws of Tennessee, two hundred and eighty-eight thousand dollars, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, as tull compensation for the property of said corporation, including the buildings and ground, and all machinery, and all materials of every kind, used, taken away, injured, consumed, or destroyed by the United States or its Army, or for its benefit in any way connected with the publishing house of said corporation in Nashville, Tennessee, during the years eighteen hundred and sixty-four and eighteen hundred and sixty-five, To be in nn1,¤•¤. or at any other time; said sum to be in full discharge of all claims of said corporation against the United States; such payment to be made to the duly authorized agent or attorney in fact of said corporation. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United Eglgggeggegsg States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the ·` Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the ‘ pension roll, subject to the provisions and regulations of the general pension laws, the name of William N. Wells, late acting master, United States Navy, at the rate of thirty dollars per month, in lieu of the pension now paid him. Approved, March 14, 1898. March 14, 1898. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United Emeline c. Sewell.
